ABOUT US
Our Story
We are a family run business based in the heart of the New Forest. Lymington Firewood is committed to producing kiln dried wood products that come from ethical British sources. We are proud to offer the best quality wood, ready for burning at a competitive price.

We are committed to operating as sustainably as possible, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. Every off-cut from our machine is repurposed, either transformed into kindling or used to fuel the kiln that carefully dries our wood. Our entire processor is handmade in the UK and, in true British spirit, comes in classic British Racing Green. We take pride in sourcing all of our timber directly from the South Coast, and even our firelighters are handmade in the UK, supporting local craftsmanship while keeping our environmental impact low.
Meet The Team

Ed
The founder, the face, and the guy who runs on caffeine and determination. Ed’s the one who kicked this whole thing off, turning an idea into the business you see today. He’s always on the go – forklifting around, processing wood, packing orders, and somehow keeping everything running smoothly… most of the time. The man barely sits still, but if you do catch him, he’ll probably be mid-yawn and still cracking a joke. Friendly, hardworking, and forever tired – that’s our Exhausted Ed.

Alice
The one who keeps everything (and everyone) in line. She’s always juggling a million things – tracking orders, replying to messages, keeping things organised, and somehow still finding time to make sure Ed hasn’t fallen asleep in the workshop. Alice designed our website, so now you can order online without a fuss. And when she’s not stuck behind a screen, she’s out helping with the wood, because she really can do it all. She’s also a top-notch networker, always chatting, connecting, and finding new ways to grow the business.

Alex
Alex Baker is fairly new to the team, an all-round handy guy. Baker jumped straight in helping Ed around the barn. Processing, making, and bagging up all the products like a pro. Things were going great… until he decided to take on a game of rugby and came out with a broken leg. Now he’s been stuck at home, living the gamer life and counting down the days until he’s back on his feet (literally). He’s a man of many talents and can make or fix just about anything… except, apparently, his own leg.

Soph
Sophie is the girl behind the camera (never in front of it). Sophie’s recently taken over our Instagram and is the reason things are finally looking a bit more polished around here, no offence, Ed. She’s the one snapping photos, filming videos, and keeping our socials full of life. Soph’s got an eye for what looks good and somehow makes the chaos of the workshop look aesthetic. If it’s on the feed and actually looks decent, you can thank her for that.

Pickle
The happy, wiggly ball of energy that keeps everyone entertained. He’s the smiley one of the two doggos, always bouncing around the barn, chewing on bits of wood he definitely shouldn’t have, and living his best life. When he’s not zooming around like a lunatic, you’ll find him stretched out in the sun, posing like he knows he’s photogenic (because he is). Basically, Pickle’s the barn’s little ray of sunshine – always happy, always busy, and always covered in sawdust.

Scrumpy
The other half of the iconic dog dup, and the one who always looks like he's just been told some very bad news. Don't be fooled by the sad eyes though, Scrumpy's actually living his best life. He's just perfected the art of looking dramatic for no reason. Like his brother Pickle, he's full of energy and loves a good run around the barn, usually causing a bit of chaos along the way. He's the type to bark at a lead, steal a stick, and then look offended when you ask for it back.
